Punchbuggy Galore

With gas (or petrol) about $8 a gallon, we see why cars in Scotland are quite small! This means lots of light punches flying back and forth since the VW bug is extremely popular.

We call this car a pug car because we think the front looks like a pug dog's face. The Toyota iQ has no back seat at all, so it's truly a compact, two-seater and makes a Prius look like a mini-van.

Declan is taller than many of the cars here.

We just liked this one.

Public transit is very convenient since there's a subway station a couple of blocks from our flat. Within the city there are trains and buses, as well as the subway.

A double-decker though not as striking as London's red buses.

Our favorite way to get around Glasgow -- shank's mare, also known as walking! We walk everywhere which is a great way to see the city and enjoy the people and sights.
