Our Neighborhood -- The West End

We lucked out in the location of our flat -- BIG TIME! It's incredibly close to the university and is right off a main shopping street, Byres Rd, which has many shops, including lots of used goods, charity shops that are fun to poke around in. All these junk shops benefit a different charityso it's like five small Goodwills (though called Oxfam, Cancer Care, etc) right around the corner.

Another great thing about our flat is this gorgeous view of the church across the street that you can see out of all the front room windows. Our flat and the one below used to be the vicarage for the church (where the vicar lived), so there's some grand, spacious rooms and some that have been divvied up into smaller spaces.

Near our flat is the Kelvin Walkway, a great path along the Kelvin River.
